9/9/2023 0 Comments Fernbus simulator flipped busIt is interesting that I see people saying they want an "economy" for Fernbus when I attempted one (using a spreadsheet, not in the game) which gave you the ability to set ticket prices and earn profits (though there is nothing to spend them on in the game). Not to mention those who purchased both sims which would now essentially be the same game. By adding economy into Fernbus makes it into Tourist Bus Sim set in mainland Europe and then you risk annoying players from both camps.People will want to know why you didn't just make DLC maps for Fernbus playable in Tourist Bus. I think as a marketing strategy you've painted yourself into a corner and you know this which is why I suspect you won't commit to it being a feature. Until I know what you're planning it makes me hesitant to invest in DLC which might not work in a possible Fernbus 2 with the economy mode I want. So your choice is either to add this element with a "switch" to turn career back to "classic career mode" or to release it as Fernbus 2. However, putting such a game changing feature in at this stage would just annoy elements of your player base who have enjoyed the freedom so far. Now, if I had to buy a bigger coach to fit more passengers to earn more money (to buy a coach) then I've reasons. At the moment my only goal is to get more points and I don't need to buy more coaches or locations to do that. Without a reason to drive then DLC is little more than interesting additions, a different dashboard to look at. I know you're saying "if or when" but you won't sell as much DLC if the players don't have a goal or reason to keep playing. And if there isn't enough to keep me coming then I'm sorry but I've no reason to purchase DLC. There isn't enough to keep bringing me back. Gaining points doesn't interest me (I'll play Pac-Mac for that) and I only have locations to unlock. Spending that hour driving isn't going to get me closer to an extra coach, driver, modification or money to buy them. If I have an hour free time to drive on a game then I'm more likely to choose ETS or ATS as I'm using that hour to achieve something.įernbus is just.there. In ETS2 (I know, different game but there are comparisons) I have a need to come back (EG pay off loan, get better skills, unlock items, more drivers). I love the driving and the game but I honestly thought I'd "missed" something because I couldn't see a reason to keep coming back and switching it on. In fact I was looking at this forum to find this answer. The name of the mode says it: "Career", it should contain precise objectives and a goal of the game more solid than only gaining points.Ĭurrently, your career mode is more like an old arcade game from the 80s where everyone was looking to get the biggest score from the machine in the snack bar around the corner.ġ00% agree with this. Something is missing that encourages or compels us to complete this route or another. A game goal is missing other than just accumulating points. At the moment, we are only repeating journeys without real objectives, with the exception of obtaining points. Why not have a bus company and service contracts? Nothing prevents you from still having the scoreboard of the best in the world even if you add a management part to the game. Why not add missions or journeys that could give us additional points if we successfully complete them? Adding a management part to the game would be perfect. Because, honestly, I really don't see the difference between career mode and free mode. His driving simulation is very good, but something is clearly missing in career mode. I love Fernbus, but I find the career mode empty.
